Every last Friday of the month, our virtual office is closed. Call it a bank holiday replacement for a remote distributed team. Sometimes on those days I chill out, on others, I like to do something new.
The Friday off of November turned out to be a spontaneous motorbike ride that I've been wanting to do for some time on my own bike.
Despite being on a bike I've been driving around the city for the past couple of months, I was apprehensive at first. I've done the ride before as a passenger and I knew there were some steep hills and tight corners ahead of me.
The loop goes all the way around the mountain that sits the west of the city
First stop was at a coffee roasters that always looked nice from the road. By this point the ride had barely begun so it was a good chance to get gather some confidence and drink some local coffee.
