Sailing a catamaran & coding through covid
At the end of February, John and I flew to the canary islands to participate in a week of sailing that we had planned. Excited to get back out on the open ocean and tick off some of our plans for the year, we made the extremely long 30 hour journey to meet our friend Doug on his boat. We spent a week mostly offline, sailing and relaxing.
We were spoiled with great Atlantic sailing conditions (read: not for the faint of heart) that really allowed us to get a feel for what it's like to sail with two hulls instead of one. We surprised ourselves at how competent we already are as sailors, and how much easier it is to handle a modern catamaran.
